Finally, an apprenticeship!

In many African countries, the period after secondary school is a major problem because every form of education costs money. Money that is not available.

In order to help young people who cannot afford school fees, we started a vocational training programme at our centre in Dar es Salaam in March 2025.

We offer nine-month courses in computer training, tailoring, English, life skills and entrepreneurship (to enable them to set up their own small shops). The first certificates were awarded in November 2025.

Thanks to several donors, we were able to equip two new classrooms with computers and sewing machines for the training. The students have already designed and sewn their own clothes. The results are impressive.
